Soquel Demo Forest

In US-speak this would be described as "ghetto"

This is actually a fair bit steeper than it looks
Riding around the edge of the rather ominous heli-pad.... wonder what they use that for then? hmm... Santa Cruz and the Pacific
My first go on a mini teeter-totter - fun!

Me looking strangely non-plussed - must be my lack of gears!

A return to Soquel Demo Forest - "the demo" with some guys from MTBR. I love this place, its probably my favourite so far, amazing flowing singletrack with some decent technical sections and the odd north shore style stunt every now and then to add spice to the mix! We hit Braille, climbed Tractor and then back down the fantastic Sawpit.

Unfortunately my rear mech decided to implode about half way down Braille and I had to ride half of this singlespeed. The demo is probably not the easiest intro to singlespeeding - there are some serious climbs here. As Fred said "Pain is just weakness leaving the body" - which must make me a lot less weak now! :o)
